Laragh Glendalough Active Retirement

Some of our members joined over 200 people from all over Wicklow in the Glendalough Hotel on Thursday 17 November for the Co Wicklow Network for Older People Seminar “A Voice for Older People in Wicklow”. It was a very informative and enjoyable day where participants learned about collective action, choices and how hard times can create opportunities for older people and their services. People also got a chance to voice their opinion on a number of issues, were entertained by the Get Vocal Players and enjoyed good food and good company. Co Wicklow Network for Older People is very active in promoting and lobbying on behalf of older people in Co Wicklow. Laragh Glendalough & District Active Retirement is represented on the steering committee by Bernadette from the Brockagh Centre.
Our next lunch which will be our Christmas lunch will take place on Tuesday 13th December in Lynhams (this will also be our monthly lunch for December). We will be finishing up for Christmas on the 13th December and return on Tuesday 17th January.
