Imelda Duffy – We are delighted to welcome local historian, documentary filmmaker, artist & writer Imelda Duffy to the Brockagh Centre. Imelda will share a personal short story that she has written about a family outing. A wonderful, heart-warming story.

As part of the Bealtaine Festival Laragh Glendalouigh & District Active Retirement will host an Afternoon Tea Dance on Sunday 20th May from 3-6pm at the Brockagh Centre. Music by William Belton. Many thanks to 5th and 6th class students who “interviewed” the active retirement group about life in the good old days, but the students didn’t get off lightly they were also quizzed about their lives. We hope to work on more of these intergenerational projects in the future.
Well we had another full calendar of events for this year’s Bealtaine Festival which celebrates creativity in older age. We started with a Beadwork/Braiding workshop at the Brockagh Centre which took place with Daisy Chain Crafts on Saturday 7th May and was a great success.
