Evening Yoga with Viva  

Viva’s yoga classes for beginners to intermediate will be back on Tuesday 10th of Sept at 7pm (depending on nos.) in the Brockagh Centre. Improve your fitness strength and flexibility in a relaxing way. Wear comfortable clothes on the night and bring a blanket. Mats are available on the night. Co Wicklow PPN Training Fair 2019
​The Training Fair held  on Saturday 21st Sept in The Brockagh Centre, Laragh. Morning workshops include Funding your Group,Getting the most out of social media, Charitable Status and the Governance Code, Running Effective Meetings, Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Community. Afternoon Workshops include GDPr, Good Governance (where to start), spotlight on PPN member group, Health and Safety for your Group, Attracting Volunteers. Annick Garnier Exhibition

We are delighted to be hosting French artist Garnier Annick at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Sunday 8th of Sept in the Willow Room. Open from 9am to 4pm. Annick trained in Ecles de Beaux Arts Caen and  has been exhibiting in France since 1997 receiving various prestigious awards in Caen and Normandy .

Learn to Create Professional Video for Social Media using your Smartphone

 Dancing with Declan Flanagan

Declan will be back at the Brockagh Resource Centre Laragh on the 19th   , 26th and 2nd of Sept. The St. Kevin’s Way Challenge

The St. Kevin’s Way 25km Challenge on October 6th is a fundraising walk to help celebrate Barretstown’s 25th anniversary and to raise €50,000 to help bring more children to experience its therapeutic recreation programmes. The route follows in the footsteps of St. Kevin through the beautiful hills and varied landscapes of Wicklow. Registration for the event takes place in the Brockagh Centre, from where you will be bussed to the starting line in Valleymount before finishing back at the Brockagh Centre.  Glendalough Country Market & Car Boot Sales       

We have now moved to the 2nd Sunday of the month. Encouraging local and non-local producers of plants, vegetables, crafts etc. Our next event will be on Sun, 11th of August, open from 10am to 4pm. Bargains on practically anything from household items to garden additions, and even vintage or antique treasures. Vans must be booked in. Please pre-book indoor spaces early. Go For Life(Back  Sept 17th)

The group meet most Tuesdays, so if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, bowls, music come along on at 11am, they welcome any newcomer. The group meet for lunch once a month at various venues. For further information, call Denise at the Brockagh Centre on (0404) 45600 or drop in.

Traditional Basket Weaving Workshops

Pilates Classes in Laragh (Back Sept 2nd)

Monday evening Pilates classes will continue through Summer. Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Zara Elkinson has trained and qualified through the STOTT Pilates Method of Movement. This method combines modern theories of exercise science with spinal rehabilitation, which gives a safe and effective exercise that sees results and is accessible to all. Free Computer Course (ongoing)

A free 5-week digital skills computer course are run throughout the year, two hours one day a week. Topics covered include online banking, apps, online government services, email, shopping online, photographs, podcasts, TV players, social media and much more. Irish Dancing Classes(Back in Sept)

Irish Dancing on Saturday mornings from  9am-10am in the Brockagh Resource Centre will be finishing for the Summer on 15th June but will be back in Sept. Walking  group in the Brockagh(ongoing)

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendalough area for approximately one hour. All ages and abilities are welcome. Call Lucy on 0863107511.

We Love Art(Back  Sept 9th)

Art and crafts classes for children of primary school age take place on Monday afternoons.  Classes cover a wide range of art and craft techniques and processes, giving kids an outlet for creative self-expression while learning new skills.  Classes are small and places must be reserved in advance, the first class is free for new students. Adult Art Classes(Back in Sept)

Tae kwon-Do for Youths and Adults (Ongoing)

Teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health. Citizen’s Information Clinic (Ongoing)

C.I.C have now an office in the Brockagh Resource Centre on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 10-12 providing valuable personal advice relating to your rights and entitlements on a large range of matters. Happy Days – Parent and Toddler Group(Back  Sept 17th)

Tuesdays mornings 10.30 -12pm at the Brockagh Centre, parents, babies and toddlers get together, have lots of fun weeks with art & crafts and make new friends. It is also a great way to meet and socialize with parents, especially if you are new to the area. Contact us at 0404-45600 at the centre for more information.

Morning Yoga with Louise   (back Sept 5th)

Louise’s yoga class will be held every Thursday from 10 to 11.15 am. This is a gently-paced class where students learn how to align, open and strengthen the body gradually while stabilizing the platforms of the feet and ankles, hips and pelvis and shoulder girdle. The class begins with general and targeted warm-up sequences followed by postures (Asanas) and Vinyasa (breath-connected) sequences before final relaxation in Savasana. Chair Yoga  (back Sept 5th)

Our very popular Chair Yoga class will take place on Thursdays from 11.30 am to 12.45 pm. Chair Yoga is suitable for almost everyone and helps students find balance and calm in everyday life. The class takes students through centering and breath-work, followed by postures that let the joints move through their range of movement whilst seated or through use of the chair whilst standing. Laragh Badminton  Club – Junior and Seniors (Main Badminton Classes now finished for summer)(Back  Sept 16th)

Play takes place on Mondays for Fourth Class (7 to 8 pm) and Fifth and Sixth Classes (8 to 9 pm).  On Thursdays, secondary school students play between 7 and 8 pm.  Membership costs €60 per child for the year; €16 of this goes directly to Badminton Ireland.  The membership fee for Senior players is €120 – playing time is 9 to 10 pm on Mondays and Thursdays.

Drama School (Back  Sept 11th)

Drama classes are a fantastic way of developing confidence and encouraging creativity and imagination. Drama modules will incorporate improvisation, mime, script work, vocal training and acting skills. Students will also learn from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama syllabus and be afforded opportunities to take graded examinations under a fully qualified teacher. Elevation holds a 100% pass rate in IBSD examinations. Advanced Contemporary-Senior Drama at 7pm  is held at the Brockagh Centre.
