Flower Classes

A series of flower classes are being planned for the autumn at the Brockagh Centre. The sessions can cover everything from basic methods to modern designs for a variety of occasions. The teaching team will facilitate the requirements of the participants and focus on the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. Glendalough Car Boot Sales Take place on the first Sunday of the month except for January. Always great new and nearly new clothes and accessories, food items and much more. Vans must be booked in. Car park spaces for the next month or so will be limited so please pre-book indoor spaces early. Contact the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600.

Glendalough Christmas Fair

Our Christmas Fair in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh is on this year on the 10th Dec with lots of special gifts. If you are interested in booking a stall at our popular and festive Christmas Fair or if you would like to perform music or entertain in the festive spirit at the fair call Michelle at the Brockagh Centre on 0404 45600 or email us at laraghit@eircom.net to request a booking form.

Irish Dancing Classes

Irish Dancing on Saturday mornings from  9am-10am. Paediatric First Aid Course

The Brockagh Centre is delighted to be able to offer a fantastic evening of paediatric first aid on Monday October 16th (7 to 9 pm). Run by the highly acclaimed ‘Parent First Aid’ company, this popular, informative evening will cover all basic first aid required in the care of children including choking, burns, meningitis, breaks/fractures, CPR, bleeding and more. Haunted Halloween Kids Day

Calling all little ghouls and spooks! Join us for our Horrifying Haunted Halloween House on Saturday October 28th. Jam-packed with activities including Ghouling Games, Frightful Feasts, Alarming Art, Petrifying Prizes, Terrifying Treasure Hunt and a Death-Defying Disco, this Haunted House is sure to be the creepiest one around! The Glendalough Trail 2017(please Note new date for race, Nov 18th)

The Glendalough Trail race is a 15.5km race which takes place on Saturday 18th November, 2017 with registration and refreshments at the Brockagh Centre,Laragh. The Glendalough Trail is a fantastic running experience with a route that is scenic, challenging and safe. Not only will it be a fun, enjoyable day but we hope to raise much needed funds for Fighting Blindness. Traditional Basket-making Workshop

The traditional basket-making workshop will teach you basic basketry techniques. Taught in a relaxed learning environment, you will bring home your own completed small round willow basket (a skib). The workshops will take place in the Brockagh Centre at various dates from now to December. Classes are small with 5 participants. Garden workshop  also available on request. Pilates at the Brockagh 

Marie Noonan is a qualified Pilate’s teacher and has been teaching for the last 17 years and works full time as a movement therapist for rehabilitation, health and longevity. Tai Chi and QiGong                                                                                                                        

Tai Chi and QiGong classes are very powerful tools which help to heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Walking  group in the Brockagh

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the walking group with Get Ireland Walking at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendalough area for approximately one hour. In association with Get Ireland Walking, Wicklow Local Sports Partnership & Brockagh Resource Centre. All ages and abilities are welcome. We Love Art  Classes on Monday afternoons are for Primary school children. They are taught by artist and qualified art teacher Almha Roche. Classes are small, and divided by age group. Please view timetable below for classes times. In the classes we work with lots of different art and craft forms. Adult Art This painting class will help you to find your own artistic style in your preferred medium. It is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced painters. Take up a new hobby or develop your skills and techniques in a friendly and informal group. Tae kwon-Do for Youths and Adults (classes are ongoing)

Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health. H.I.F.D (high intensity fitness dance) (classes are ongoing)is an hour of dancing cardio workout to burn fat in a fun way on Wed evenings 7-8pm . Pay as You Go at €6 or €5 each night when you do two of his classes in Annamoe or Laragh in a week. 

Evening Yoga with Viva  

Viva’s yoga classes for beginners to advanced every Wednesday evening at 7pm. Wear comfortable clothes on the night and bring a blanket. Mats are available on the night if needed. Call Viva on 086 3409629.

Wicklow Man (ongoing)

Wicklow Man(David Bury 087 272 3962) is on every Tuesday night at the Brockagh Centre at 9 p.m.  for a few hours of dancing and socialising.

AA Meetings  (Ongoing)

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night.

Adult Guidance Service  

Adult Career Guidance Service is available at the Brockagh Centre. This careers/education service is free, friendly, confidential, supportive and available to all adults over 18 years of age. For more information or to book an appointment please contact Irene Hayden on 086-8061569.

Citizen’s Information Clinic

C.I.C have now an office in the Brockagh Resource Centre on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 10-12 providing valuable personal advice relating to your rights and entitlements on a large range of matters. Happy Days

Happy Days Carer and Toddler drop in group is every Wednesday mornings from 10.30 -12pm at the Brockagh Centre(they take a break in July and August). We would like to invite people with babies and young child to come for a social morning for some play, chat and of course light refreshments. Morning Yoga with Louise

Louise’s yoga class will be held every Thursday from 10 to 11.15 am. This is a gently-paced class where students learn how to align, open and strengthen the body gradually while stabilizing the platforms of the feet and ankles, hips and pelvis and shoulder girdle. The class begins with general and targeted warm-up sequences followed by postures (Asanas) and Vinyasa (breath-connected) sequences before final relaxation in Savasana. Chair Yoga

Our very popular Chair Yoga class will take place on Thursdays from 11.30 am to 12.45 pm. Chair Yoga is suitable for almost everyone and helps students find balance and calm in everyday life. The class takes students through centering and breath-work, followed by postures that let the joints move through their range of movement whilst seated or through use of the chair whilst standing. Badminton  Junior and Seniors

Badminton classes are on Mon evenings in the Brockagh Centre at 7pm (Junior 4th class up) with Seniors from 8pm and on Thursday evenings with a repeat of the same classes. Classes for 2016 will end on Monday, Dec 19th and return Monday, Jan 9th.

Drama School 

Drama classes are a fantastic way of developing confidence and encouraging creativity and imagination. Drama modules will incorporate improvisation, mime, script work, vocal training and acting skills.

Students will also learn from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama syllabus and be afforded opportunities to take graded examinations under a fully qualified teacher. Elevation holds a 100% pass rate in IBSD examinations. Elevation Drama Junior (5.45-6.45pm) is held at the Brockagh Centre. Contact Kate on 086 8256775.

Elevation Dance School

Kate has introduced some new dance classes to her calendar this term: – baby ballet, pre-pri ballet and senior contemporary. Kate is also hoping to organise competition teams with advanced dancers on a Monday evening at 5 pm. If you have any
