Christmas Craft Night

In aid of Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa we are have a Christmas Craft Night on Friday 21st November at 7pm with mulled wine and minced pies and at 7.30pm needle felting workshop in the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue base, Kilafin, Laragh, A98VY72.

Make a set of three Christmas trees using lots of beautiful wool. No experience is needed and all materials are included.

Memory Cafe in Laragh

A free monthly event for people living with dementia/memory problems, family carers, friends and healthcare professionals to connect, socialise and source information. Laragh Christmas Lights 

A huge thank you to everyone who came out in support of our Laragh Christmas Lights fundraising table quiz last Friday night. It was a fantastic night filled with fun, laughter and great community spirit!

We are so grateful to all our wonderful volunteers who helped on the night, to everyone who donated prizes and to Lynhams of Laragh for kindly hosting the event.

Congratulations to our quiz winners who very generously donated their prize money back to the Christmas Lights Fund, your kindness and community spirit are truly appreciated!

The amazing support received last Friday will help make Laragh shine bright this Christmas.

We are looking forward to seeing you all on the 22nd of November for the Big Switch On and Santa’s Parade!


Laragh & Glendalough Tidy Towns

We were delighted with the turnout for this year’s LGTT AGM last week in the Brockagh Resource Centre. 

At our AGM we welcomed Laragh & Glendalough’s new CE community employee who will be starting soon and thanked Councillor Shane Langrell for coming along and sharing information with us.

Our yearly Christmas Raffle will be held before Christmas. Please come along to the Brockagh Christmas Market on Sunday November 30th to show your support, buy raffle tickets and learn a little about the projects that have been untaken by LGTT this year. Some great prizes were generously donated by businesses in the area which we greatly appreciate!


Laragh Glendalough Sustainable Energy Community (LGSEC)

The Laragh Glendalough Sustainable Energy Community (LGSEC) has been busy spreading the word about sustainable energy.

They have produced three videos showcasing local homeowners who have undertaken various energy projects to make their homes more comfortable, healthy and cost effective.

Brockagh Christmas Market – Sunday, 30th November 2025

The Brockagh Resource Centre will once again host its popular Christmas Market on Sunday, 30th November from 10am to 3pm. Visitors can look forward to a wide selection of unique gifts, crafts, home baking, jewellery, art, beauty products, and more — offering a relaxed and enjoyable Christmas shopping experience.

Mobile Library

NEXT DATE: Thurs Nov 13th. A mobile comes to Laragh every second Thursday from 12.15 to 12.50pm and parks at the Brockagh Resource Centre. www.wicklow.ie or contact staff on (087) 9135229.

Yoga with Louise

Vinyasa Krama Yoga (step-by-step). Classes are from 10am to 11.20 in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.

The practice will provide gentle stretching, improved strength and flexibility, as well as help students to find balance and calm in everyday life.  Louise takes students through Asana, Pranayama and Meditation for a full Yoga practice.

Chair Yoga

Classes are from 11.30am to 12.30 in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.

Chair Yoga is suitable for those who find a regular yoga class too strenuous, are recovering from injury or illness or are generally less active and mobile.  Louise's classes include physical poses (asana), breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation and meditation.  There is some standing work which is optional and done next to the chair.

Laragh Badminton Club 

Badminton classes are back for the Autumn season on Monday Sept 8th in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. Monday evenings: Adults 7.30-9.30pm. Thursdays Evenings: Juniors 4th class beginners 6-7pm, 5-6th class & 1st year secondary school 7-8pm, Teenagers 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th year Secondary School Classes 8-9.30pm.
