Don’t miss out on our next Cafe event this Friday, July 10th, at 11am in the Brockagh Resource Centre.
Our friend David and his saxophone will join us again, and Bridget Chambers will give a talk on "Care for the Carers". All are welcome.

Brockagh Community Market & Car Boot Sale – Sunday 12th July
Come along to the Brockagh Country Market & Car Boot Sale in Laragh (A98 D3H1) and discover fantastic bargains, unique handmade crafts, and locally produced goods! Browse a wide variety of stalls offering everything from gifts and handmade crafts, clothing, antiques, tools, plants and household items.


Whether you're searching for a bargain, looking for a special gift, or simply enjoying a Sunday browse, there's something for everyone. Market opening hours are from 10:00am – 3:00pm. Take a break and enjoy a tasty hot dog or burger for lunch, followed by a delicious homemade dessert from our regular baker, served with tea or coffee.
Stallholder Information: Indoor space: €17 (table included), outdoor space: €15 (please bring your own table). The entrance barrier is locked from 6:00pm on Saturday until 8:00am on Sunday. Traditional Live Music Sessions
Join us every Wednesday evening from now until September for traditional music sessions at Jake's Bar, Lynham's of Laragh, starting at 7.30pm. Come along for a lively evening of music, fun, and great company. Musicians of all abilities are welcome, so bring your instrument and enjoy the craic!
Shelton Abbey-Open Day
This is a yearly event in Shelton Abbey Prison with music, food, kids entertainment, face painting, flower sales, cake sales, hook a duck, history tour, pony rides, fire brigade demonstrations, birds of prey, wheel of fortune. Featuring performances by Enniscorthy Gospel Choir and Barn Assemble. The open day will be on Tuesday, 14th July from 12-4pm. Parking is €3. Cash sales only with all proceeds going to Arklow RNLI and St.Catherine’s Adult Services.
Twite-Summer Lectures
Summer lectures are from 2nd July to 20th August, at 7:30pm every Thursday brought to you by Wicklow Mountains National Park.

Join us on Thursday 9th July when we welcome Dr. Fionn Ó Marcaigh to hear about the plight of the Twite. The Twite is one of Ireland’s rarest finches with probably less than 100 breeding pairs. This event is free of charge in the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Base, Laragh, Co. Wicklow A98VY72.
Glen Tots-Baby and Toddler Group
You may notice something a little different… Bright Stars has a fresh new name and look!
We’re delighted to introduce Glen Tots - our Baby & Toddler Group at Brockagh Resource Centre.
While our name has changed, everything you love about the group remains exactly the same. You’ll still find the same warm welcome, friendly faces, play, songs, laughter and community that make Wednesdays so special. Join us every Wednesday (no need to prebook)10.30am - 12.15pm(€5.50 per family). One of the few baby & toddler groups continuing every week throughout the summer! At Glen Tots you’ll enjoy a fun, relaxed play session for babies and toddlers. Delicious fresh fruit for the little ones. Enjoy tea, coffee & biscuits for grown-ups so pop in and for a great start to your day!
Annamoe Centre Evening Group Fitness Classes
For anyone in Annamoe or nearby villages looking for a friendly evening class to get moving after work. We run small group fitness classes in Annamoe Community Centre, focused on strength, mobility, and feeling better, not bootcamp-style workouts. Mondays and Thursdays at 7:15pm. Small groups (max 9). Glendalough Community Excavations Finished for 2026
It’s a wrap for another season! The Heritage Office was delighted to support the annual Glendalough Community Excavations, thanks to UCD School of Archaeology for all hard word, the students and volunteers for their dedication and to The Heritage Council and Wicklow County Council for providing funding through the County Wicklow Heritage Plan fund.
Laragh and Glendalough Active Retirement
The Active Retirement Group meets every Tuesday morning from 10:45am to 12:15pm at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh (with breaks throughout the year).
The group shared plenty of laughs at their final weekly gathering before the summer break. They are now taking a well-deserved break and look forward to returning in September.

Taekwon-Do at Laragh
Laragh Taekwon-Do is running the fantastic ITF Kids Development Program for ages 4 to 8yrs, it covers topics such as physical skills, mind skills, independence skills, nutrition awareness and of course Taekwon-Do Skills. The program also has three extra modules namely Danger Awareness, Stranger Awareness and Bullying Awareness.
We also run the full International Taekwon-Do Federation syllabus including pattern, sparring, power and special technique for our 10s upward and teenagers.
