Laragh Memory Cafe-New Dates

Join us for tea, cake & chat, plus a special presentation by Azure, exploring creativity, culture, and community connection for people living with dementia-related conditions and their families from 11am to 1pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh, A98 D3H1 in the Mountainview Room.

This is a free monthly event for people living with dementia/memory problems, family carers, friends and healthcare professionals to connect, socialise and source info. 

Upcoming dates are Fri 12th June, 10th July, August/no cafe, 11th Sept, 9th Oct, 13th Nov, 11th December.

Brockagh Country Market & Car Boot Sale

Summer Tea Dance

Laragh and Glendalough Active Retirement Group are having a Spring Tea Dance which will be held on Sunday 28th of June from 3pm to 6pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh A98 D3H1. Entry fee €10 with parking. Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy the afternoon with Music by the Wicklow Man. All groups must be booked in by contracting Laragh Active Retired group at laraghandglendaloughara@gmail.com.


About Us: The Active Retirement Group meets every Tuesday morning from 10:45am to 12:15pm at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh (with breaks throughout the year). Each week, members enjoy a friendly chat over refreshments, along with some light exercise. Throughout the year, the group also takes part in workshops, day trips, and monthly lunches. The Thorny Roses

Bright Stars Baby & Toddler Group

Meet up every week with the Baby and Toddler Group, every Wednesday morning at 10.30am in the spacious main hall of the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh, A98 D3H1.

We offer a welcoming, lively space where parents, carers, and children can come together to connect, play, and grow. For some, it’s simply a relaxed and social space; for others, it offers valuable support and confidence in their parenting role. Taekwon-Do at Laragh

Laragh Taekwon-Do is running the fantastic ITF Kids Development Program for ages 4 to 8yrs, it covers topics such as physical skills, mind skills, independence skills, nutrition awareness and of course Taekwon-Do Skills.  The program also has three extra modules namely Danger Awareness,  Stranger Awareness and Bullying Awareness.

We also run the full International Taekwon-Do Federation syllabus including pattern, sparring, power and special technique for our 10s upward and teenagers.

Classes are on Tuesday evenings in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.


Eco Waste Disposal Wicklow

Did you know at The Murrough Eco Park, they offer a wide range of services to manage and dispose of waste in an ethical and environmentally-friendly manner. They accept items such as green waste, mattresses/sofas, plastics, wood, stone, soil and stone etc. Check it out https://murroughecopark.ie/.

For your local disposal of clothes/bottles/cans the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh has a clothes bank and bottle/can bank to the rear of the building.

There is also a community compost area at the back of the village green houses across from Lynhams Hotel close to the zebra crossing side.


Bat Watches & Walks 2026

Join National Parks & Wildlife Service Guides at dusk as we watch 100s of tiny Soprano Pipistrelle bats emerge from their daytime roost in the National Park Information Office attic. Participants are then welcome to join us as we search for them using our bat detectors along the dark, wooded paths of Glendalough. Other species of bats that have been encountered on previous walks include: Pipistrelle, Leisler’s, long-eared and Daubenton’s bat.

When and Where:

Bat Walk, Wednesday 17th June @9.45pm at the Information Office, A98R221.

Bat Walk, Wednesday 15th July @9.30pm at the Information Office, A98R221.

Family Bat Night Wednesday 19th August includes a Bat Talk @7.45pm at the Education Centre, A98AP99 and a Bat Walk at the Information Office, A98R221 @8.45pm.
