Scrap Collection March

Donate your scrap at the Brockagh Resource Centre from the 3rd to Sth of March. Some of the items you can bring are biscuit tins, steel oil tanks, steel window frames, steel coal bunkers, car batteries, radiators, solid fuel cookers, sheep wire, bicycles, old cars without the tyres, steel wheelbarrows, golf irons, etc. STRICTLY No fridges, freezers, cookers, timber, plastics or tyres! Please do not remove scrap or metal from the premises. CAMERA IN OPERATION! Brockagh Market & Car Boot

Back for 2023 on Sunday March 12th for another year of bargains, browsing and chatting! The Brockagh Market & Car Boot is once a month on the 2nd Sun(except Jan/Feb). Open to the public from 10am to 3pm.Tea, coffee and food snacks are available. Indoor and outdoor stalls with a variety of items for sale with plenty of bargains from gifts, clothes, plants, books, toys, aloe vera products, artwork, tools, household items etc. Free parking and customer toilet facilities.

The barrier will be locked from 6pm Saturday evening until 8am Sunday morning. You can contact us by phone 0404 45600 (Wed-Fri 9am to 2pm) or email carbootbrockagh@gmail.com. All stallholders must pre book their space or no entry on the day.


Laragh & Glendalough Tidy Towns

Our application for native trees has been approved by the National Woodlands Trust and we are expecting delivery in the coming weeks. If you are interested in helping with planting email us at laragglendaloughtt@gmail.com. Next community clean up will be on Sat March 1st from 10-11 am. Meet as usual opposite Lynhams. We encourage children to come and help accompanied by their parents/guardians. TT and Junior TT were happy to attend the Tidy Towns, Estates and Environmental Awards in the county buildings this month and we were awarded a certificate in recognition of the achievement of the commended Main Street Small Town Award.


We welcome the community to join us at the Brockagh Resource Centre on the 8th of March, 9am to 10.30am when we will be holding a Welcome to Spring Morning Sharing with you tea/coffee and tasty treats in the Mountain View Room. You will get a chance to chat with staff, see what we are all about and enjoy looking around the facility including our new Digital Hub.


Cardiac First Response Community PHECC at Brockagh Resource Centre

The Brockagh Resource Centre have received funding and are delighted to offer members of our community a space on the Cardiac First Response Community PHECC course for a small registration fee of €15. The training will be run on Tuesday evenings, 7th and 14th March(6.30-8.30pm) in the Brockagh Resource Centre. Applicants will be decided on a first come, first served basis. Quiz Night

Everyone impressively battled it out last Friday evening in Lynhams Hotel at our Quiz Night. We enjoyed having you all join us! Thank you to Lynhams Hotel, McCoy XL Shop, Glendalough Hotel, Centra Rathdrum, Louise Curran Yoga, Vale Beauty & Massage Boutique, Wicklow Willow, Tierneys Pharmacy, Plantbox and other individuals who donated money.The community support was very much appreciated. Our next fundraising will take place at the Brockagh Resource Centre through our Scrap Collection from 3rd to 5th of March.


Elevation School of Performing Arts

Classes available at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Mondays 4.30 ]nr, 5pm Arco & Aerial, 6.30pm Inter/Snr Squad. On Wednesdays 2.45pm Tiny Tumblers (3-5yrs), 3.30pm Mini Dance & Cheer(6yrs+), 4.30pm Gr ¾ Mod, 5.30pm

Snr Mod (2hrs), 7pm Zumba(45mins). Saturdays are 9am Technique Team & Squad, 10am Dance Team (entry by audition).

Pilates Classes in Laragh

Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Zara Elkinson has trained and qualified through the STOTT Pilates Method of Movement. This method combines modern theories of exercise science with spinal rehabilitation, which gives a safe and effective exercise that sees results and is accessible to all.
