    AA Meetings  (Ongoing) Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night. All are welcome to come along. Walking  group in the Brockagh On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around the Glendalough area for approximately one hour. This is a great way to meet and chat with others and with no fee involved. No need to book, just show up on the day. With Valentine’s Day around the corner you are sure to pick up a lovely gift for your loved ones. Come shop indoor and outdoor with beautiful handmade crafts and plenty of bargains and from gifts, clothes, plants, books, toys, skincare products, candles, art, tools, household items etc.  You might be a keen bargain hunter or enjoy browsing for affordable gifts. Our tasty Hot Dog and Burger is an affordable treat for the family lunch!!  The barrier will be locked from 6pm Saturday evening until 8am Sunday morning. Laragh/Glendalough Tidy Towns Last Saturday we had a great turnout of volunteers along with our Junior TT volunteers to help mulch the beds. The mulch was kindly donated to us by our local tree surgeon, David Holden. A fallen tree has badly damaged the path and fence. A detour is now in place for all affected trails. The National Park office and the Glendalough Visitor Centre are now open.     Christmas Carols by Candlelight ‘Carols by Candlelight at St Kevin’s Church, Glendalough on Tuesday 17th December at 7.30pm. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served. There will also be a donation box for church upkeep’. Wicklow Mountains National Park Great news from the Spinc. The new trail is now completed and open for walkers. The WHITE, RED & BLUE trails are now open again without any detours. Go to our Facebook page for updates and photos of the new trail. In the meantime, happy hiking! Santa's and His Elf's in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. Christmas in Laragh Santa arrived after 6pm Saturday evening with his entourage of tractors, cars, motorbikes all lit up like a Christmas tree for the Christmas parade and Big Switch On! Hot Chocolate, treats and joy was dished out in Lynham’s car park. A huge amount of community effort was made this year again by local businesses and community members filling Laragh Village with a fantastic Christmas everyone looks forward to at this time of year.  Brockagh Christmas Market took place on the Sunday with Santa’s Grotto and the best of crafts alongside burgers, hotdogs, mince pies and mulled wine.  Santa has kindly organized his post box again this year and it has arrived at XL McCoy’s Laragh. All done to everyone who brought a fun Christmas to Laragh last weekend! BROCKAGH CHRISTMAS CARBOOT DEC 08TH Our next event is on Sunday, December 8th. This will be our last Carboot until Spring. So if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, dancing and music come along on Tuesdays. We always welcome new members to join our group. Walk and Talk Glendalough A group of like minded people regularly take to walking in the Glendalough area now the dark evenings are upon us. It has become a very popular walk and talk and it takes place twice a week. @walkandtalkglendalough Mobile Library A mobile comes to Laragh every second Thursday from 12.15 to 12.50pm and parks at the back of Lynhams Hotel. On behalf of the Parents Association of  Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa  a big thank you to everyone who attended the kids Halloween disco in Lynham's Hotel. We raised over €1300 which will go towards our fantastic outdoor classroom project and will include a donation to our charity  Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) MHC)…. And most importantly the kids had a blast! So many thank yous - to the Lynham family who provided us with an amazing venue and decorations. To Wicklow Willow who provided the refreshments. Taekwon-Do at Laragh Laragh Taekwon-Do is running the fantastic ITF Kids Development Program for the 4s to 8s, it covers topics such as physical skills, mind skills, independence skills, nutrition awareness and of course Taekwon-Do Skills.  The program also has three extra modules namely Danger Awareness,  Stranger Awareness and Bullying Awareness. We also run the full International Taekwon-Do Federation syllabus including pattern, sparring, power and special technique for our 10s upward and teenagers. Bright Stars Baby & Toddler Group Why not come along to our baby and toddler group on Wednesday mornings at 10.30am. Each week this group will provide a welcoming and lively space for parents and children to gather and grow. Our activities will include ‘messy play’, story and song, games (guest speakers), snacks, tidy-up and new equipment which will allow both you as the parent/carer and your child to meet friends, explore new things and learn. For some parents, grandparents and carers, the weekly catch-up and opportunity for children to play and make new friends is enough. Laragh Glendalough Active Retired The group have been very busy with events & outings since their return in September. Some of their activities included a day trip to Leighinbridge and next week a trip to Russborough House with lunch in Celbridge. Workshops were high on the agenda with Rosaleen Durkin discussing use of natural oils, slate workshop, pottery workshop and coming before Christmas there will be a flower arranging workshop with Therese, chair yoga with Louise and Bingo. A very busy group indeed! Organising their annual Christmas Tea Dance is under way. The event is very popular and will be held in the Brockagh Resource Centre on November 17th with refreshments and music by The Wicklow Man. The group also meets at the Brockagh Resource Centre every Tuesday 10.45-12.15 for exercise, chat and refreshments except when they are on an outing. They welcome new members so if this is for you come along any Tuesday. Brockagh Digital Hub  We have a mixture of Hot Desks, Dedicated (Weekly/Monthly) Desks, Pod with High Speed Broadband Connection. Our shared working space is located in the the heart of county Wicklow with panoramic views of the stunning Glendalough Valley. Free parking, free tea/coffee facilities and lift access. To avail of the discounted rates you must pre-book your desk through brockaghhub@gmail.com only. Daily Rate €15, half day rate €10, weekly rate €60, monthly rate available. We also have a special student rate of €10 day rate or half day rate €5. Register now as a Member on our   connectedhubs.ie  site.. We are waiting to see if they are renewing the voucher scheme.
