Annual Pattern Day Walk

The Annual Pattern Day Walk to Lady's Well Carrick Mountain near Moneystown in Co.Wicklow will be on Sun 17th Aug leaving Moneystown at 6pm. All are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult and no dogs allowed. Music, poetry, local history information on the rituals and traditions of Pattern Days are part of the event at the well. Yoga with Louise- Back 11th Sept

Vinyasa Krama Yoga (step-by-step). Classes are from 10am to 11.20 in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.

The practice will provide gentle stretching, improved strength and flexibility, as well as help students to find balance and calm in everyday life.  Louise takes students through Asana, Pranayama and Meditation for a full Yoga practice.

Chair Yoga- Back 11th Sept

Classes are from 11.30am to 12.30 in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.

Chair Yoga is suitable for those who find a regular yoga class too strenuous, are recovering from injury or illness or are generally less active and mobile.  Louise's classes include physical poses (asana), breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation and meditation.  There is some standing work which is optional and done next to the chair.

Heritage Week Guided Walk

On Saturday August 16th, to mark Heritage Week 2025, we will be hosting a guided walk from Wicklow Gap car park at 10am. The walk will focus on the plants, wildlife, and built heritage of this area of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, and will also include discussion on conservation and restoration works currently underway in the area. Booking is not required. This is a free event. Parking at the Wicklow Gap car park is free and the event will be for approx. 2 hours.

Please dress for the outdoors and wear warm clothing, good shoes or walking boots, and bring waterproofs, just in case. Insect repellent is also recommended and, as this is an outdoor walk, there is a risk of tick bites - participants should be sure to check for ticks after the walk.

Laragh Badminton Club 

Badminton classes are back in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Mon 8th with: Adults 7.30-9.30pm. Thursdays Evenings: Juniors 4th class beginners 6-7pm, 5-6th class & 1st year secondary school 7-8pm, Teenagers 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th year Secondary School Classes 8-9.30pm. Taekwon-Do at Laragh

Laragh Taekwon-Do is running the fantastic ITF Kids Development Program for the 4s to 8s, it covers topics such as physical skills, mind skills, independence skills, nutrition awareness and of course Taekwon-Do Skills.  The program also has three extra modules namely Danger Awareness,  Stranger Awareness and Bullying Awareness.

We also run the full International Taekwon-Do Federation syllabus including pattern, sparring, power and special technique for our 10s upward and teenagers.

Classes are on Tuesday evenings in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.


Active Retirement Laragh

The group are starting back after the Summer break with a day trip on 26th of August, followed by a GAA Tour in Croke Park on Sept 9th. 

The active retirement group meets every Tuesday morning from 10.45am – 12.15pm in the Brockagh Centre(with breaks throughout the year). They enjoy meeting for a chat with refreshments and light exercise each week. Workshops, daytrips and monthly lunches are throughout the year. New members are always welcome. If anyone would like to offer their services or share their skills with the group please contact us by calling Denise on 0404 45600, email laraghglendaloughara@gmail.com or drop in to the centre.
