SCRAP METAL COLLECTION

Donate your scrap at the Brockagh Resource Centre from 3rd to 7th May. Some of the items you can bring are biscuit tins, steel oil tanks, steel window frames, steel coal bunkers, car batteries, radiators, solid fuel cookers, sheep wire, bicycles, old cars without the tyres, steel wheelbarrows, golf irons, etc. STRICTLY No fridges, freezers, cookers, timber, plastics or tyres! Please do not remove scrap or metal from the premises. CAMERA IN OPERATION!

Artisan Bread Baking Class

The Craic of Dawn – A Sunrise Adventure for a Great Cause 

The Craic of Dawn is a fundraising event organized by the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team. It was first created in 2022 to help recover vital funding lost during the COVID-19 restrictions. But it quickly became something more—a symbol of new beginnings, resilience, and positivity. A 10-12km hike through beautiful landscapes Approx. 2-4 hours of fresh air, movement, and camaraderie Event Runs in April, marking the start of spring. Annamoe Centre-Children’s Kinesiology

Children's Kinesiology Sessions and the Adult/Children Sessions once a month in the centre. An extra Adult/Child session has been added as the parents/guardians are loving the relaxation space. Laragh & Glendalough Tidy Towns

Laragh Glendalough Tidy Towns Association wish to thank WCC’s Environmental Awareness Officer Sarah Rubalcava and to facilitator, Colm O’Callaghan for a very informative apple tree pruning demonstration in Laragh last Saturday. 

Attendees got to practice correct methods of  apple tree pruning along with advice on gardening equipment and health and safety. Thank you to Caroline McCoy for access to the apple trees. Guest Speakers Attend -Laragh & Glendalough Active Retired Group

Our Active Retirement Group meets every Tuesday 10.45am – 12pm at the Brockagh Centre.  If you fancy a chat, a cuppa, some light exercise, dancing and music come along on a Tuesday morning. We always welcome new members to join our group.

The HSE will be giving informative sessions on Preventing Falls and Healthy Eating on 25th February and 4th March. All are welcome.

Elevation School of Performing Arts

Classes available at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on  Mondays 4.15 Acro Squad, 5pm Arco L2, 6.30pm Adv Tumbling/Squad Dance. On Wednesdays 2.45pm Tiny Acro/Dance/Mini Acro, 3.30pm Youth Cheer/Dance, 4.30pm Cheer Team: Lucky Stars, 5pm Gr ¾ Mod, 6pm Snr Mod (2hrs), 7pm Zumba(45mins). Saturdays are 9am Technique Team & Squad.

Pilates Classes in Laragh

Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Zara Elkinson has trained and qualified through the STOTT Pilates Method of Movement. This method combines modern theories of exercise science with spinal rehabilitation, which gives a safe and effective exercise that sees results and is accessible to all.
